It’s been a busy couple of weeks for some of last season’s PPORA grassroot awards winners

Having recently turned Conditional Luca Morgan, 2019 PPORA Champion Novice Rider wasted no time getting a winner on the board partnering Doubly Clever to success at Worcester on August 14th for his boss Johnny Farrelly. A great start on his first ride with Conditional status, Luca has since scored a runner up spot and a third place from 3 subsequent rides.

Harley PPORA National Novice Champion Jack Tudor, also now Conditional, was quick to follow, on the 17th at Market Rasen riding Capitol for Dr Richard Newland. He’s since finished on 4 occasions for his boss Christian Williams, and has two rides at Cartmel today (Saturday).

Treehouse Sporting Colours PPORA Pony Racing Graduate Liam Harrison retains his amateur status, but has been in action too, riding 40/1 shot Thomas Blossom to a remarkable runner spot in a handicap chase at Market Rasen on

2019 Baileys Horse Feeds Point to Point Graduate winner Kelly Morgan has also been in the winner’s enclosure, with former Pointer – and 2018 NAF PPORA Mare of the Season winner Teeton Power. Her breeder, and former owner, Joan Tice would be thrilled by how gamely the mare ran under a great ride from Adam Wedge to land a 2m4f hurdle race at Worcester on 21st.

Dunraven Stud PPORA Novice Rider Championship Final winner Nathan Rahman has been enjoying the thrill of European Cross Country Racing this summer. Riding in Germany and Italy. He’s back at Merano this weekend with rides on Saturday and Sunday. There he will renew his partnership with Isaias, trained by Giuseppe Trebeschi, with whom he’s struck up a good relationship having ridden him on his previous 3 outings to good effect finishing 4th in a highly competitive cross country race at the track last time out. Nathan will also be riding in Germany on September 1st.

Last but not least a mention for Ben Jones another of last season’s riders who has recently turned Conditional and rode his first winner, Field Exhibition trained by Grace Harris, at NewtonAbbot this week.
