Racing Welfare – help, advice and support on offer for the Point to Point Community!
This week I was lucky enough to join a Mental Health First Aid course organised by Racing Welfare at Oaksey House.
This is just one of the things that Racing Welfare can help with and the great news is that their services are available to us in the Point to Point Community
Last season I asked for their help resolving issues on Point to Point Rider was facing and I was very impressed with their support – and the speed with which they provided it.
Examples of the sorts of things they can help with are
Physical Health – including injury
Illness and Disability
Career advice – “CATS” the career advice and training service
If you, or anyone in the sport you know, needs help, not just riders, but keepers, stable staff and office staff, give them a call – you’ll find more information on their website http://www.racingwelfare.co.uk or call them on 0800 6300 443 – or contact them in the other ways shown on their website.
They are ready and able to help in lots of ways, they have welfare officers across the country, and their help is completely confidential and non-judgemental
