The final 2018 PPORA Monthly Grassroots Awards Winners are announced

With the Season now at a close we’re ready to announce our final cohort of May-June Grassroots Awards Winners.

Designed to recognise and showcase grassroots success throughout the season, we and importantly have enjoyed reading each month’s nominations and we hope you’ve enjoyed reading about the winners too. There have been lots of difficult choices to make along the way – and the last round was no exception with the final weeks of the season creating lots of interest.

Veteran riders feature strongly in this month’s awards with no less than 4 of our winners falling into that category, there’s a novice rider and even a novice-veteran rider in the mix, and three owner-trainers as well.  With competition so strong we were left with a three way split in the Moment of the Month category and as it’s the end of the season we’ve made it a three way award to three long standing participants including two owner-trainers (both of whom previously rode) and a current rider.

We’ve spoken to them all and heard tales of slow-burn starts, dream partnerships, keeping it fun, and the great sense of community in our sport.  You’ll find the winners listed below click on the winner names to read the related stories – some are still being loaded so if they are not there yet please come back soon

Over the summer we’ll be revisiting these and our annual awards – some will be tweaked to make them more competitive and contemporary and we’ll announce details on this website ahead of the new season.
