Tickets for the 2019 PPORA Grassroots Awards Lunch are now on sale – please read the information below before buying your ticket(s)
1) What is the venue, date and time for the 2018 PPORA Grassroots Awards Lunch?
The lunch will take place at Stratford Racecourse on Friday 31st of May. The Prosecco & Pimms Reception begins at 1pm, we will take tables for lunch at 1.30pm
Please note that this year we are in a new marquee you will find this past the Pavilion (last year’s venue) and at the far end of the lawn
2) How much do tickets cost:
We have up to 135 Early Bird Tickets priced at £75.00 these will be available for purchase until Friday May 3rd (unless previously sold out).
From Saturday May 4th any available tickets will be priced at £82.50
In addition to the 123 Early Bird Tickets we expect to have a small number of additional tickets available closer to the event – however this is dependant on the uptake of sponsor and winner tickets and is not guaranteed – please book early to avoid disappointment.
3) What is included in the price of the ticket
Admission to the 2018 PPORA Grassroots Awards Lunch
A four course lunch including a shared cheese board and tea/coffee (vegetarian option available) on request
Admission to evening racing and a racecard
Use of the marquee during evening racing
4) What is excluded from the price of the ticket?
All drinks except those specified above
Wine, beer and soft drinks will be available for purchase on the day
5) Why has the price of the tickets increased?
The cost of the tickets reflects the per head cost of staging the event, this includes the cost of the meal, reception drinks / service charge, racecourse admission and racecard, ticket sales charges, a share of fixed costs including insurance, audio hire, staff etc incurred in organising and running this event.
6) How will I receive my tickets?
By default your tickets will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking. If you would like us to post you your tickets then please select the “post” option when completing your order, a £2.50 per order charge will be added if you choose to receive your tickets by post.
7) What are the menu options?
We have two options.

By default guests will be served Option 1, if you would prefer Option 2 the vegetarian / dairy free menu please email email@example.com by 5pm on Friday May 17th, unfortunately no changes will be possible after this time
8) Can you accommodate special dietary requirements

9) How do I book my ticket(s)
The quickest and easiest way is to click here and here to book on line you will be able to see live availability and complete your purchases quickly and easily
10) How can I pay for my tickets?
The quickest and easiest way is to pay on line using your card – your booking will be instant and confirmed to you by email. If you do not have a card we will accept payment by cheque but please note tickets will be placed on a temporary hold for a maximum of 72 hours for the cheque to be received. If your cheque is not received in this time then we will automatically release the tickets for sale – where a waiting list is in place the tickets will be offered to those on that list
11) Can I pay by card over the phone or by cheque?
Yes please call 07513 101659 however please note that you may need to leave a message and we will call you back. Availability may change in the intervening period and that your booking is not complete until we have entered it into the system and taken your payment. To avoid disappointment please book on line if possible.
If you wish to pay by cheque ticket will be placed on hold pending payment for a maximum of 72 hours. If payment is not received in this time the “on-hold”will be automatically released for sale.
Unfortunately we are not able to extend or repeat the “on-hold” period – tickets are not confirmed until payment has been received
12) I am not sure how many tickets I need can I reserve some now and decide later?
Unfortunately not, demand for tickets is always high and tickets generally sellout ahead of the event, with the exception of tickets “on-hold” pending bank transfer or cheque payment (as described above) we cannot reserve tickets
13) Can I return tickets I have purchased and obtain a refund?
By default all sales are final and refunds on unwanted / unused tickets are not possible. This is to ensure availability to the maximum number of people and also to enable us to keep the ticket price as affordable as possible by avoiding “unused” places on the day. However if before the day you have one or more surplus tickets please contact email@example.com, and ask for your ticket to be added to the Returns List
Tickets on the Returns List will only be made available for sale once all original tickets have been sold. Returns will be offered for sale in the order in which they were notified to us. Please note that this is offered on a goodwill basis and there is no guarantee that your ticket will be resold. Refunds on resold tickets will be subject to a £7.00 service charge per ticket – this reflects the commission we will incur across the transactions
14) There’s no availability showing what can I do?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your contact phone number and ticket requirements. We will then add you to our waiting list and contact you if tickets become available.
15) How can I get an invoice/ receipt?
Your etickets are your proof of purchase you can print these at home, or select the “Post” option and we will print and send the tickets to you (there is a charge of £2.50 per order for the tickets by post option)

16) Do I need to bring my ticket on the day?
Yes you will need to present your ticket at the entrance to the marquee where it will be exchanged for a wristband. Wearing the wristband will give you access to the marquee and to evening racing
If you have purchased a ticket for a table of 10 or 12 people you will receive one ticket please bring this to the marquee reception where it will be exchanged for wristbands for all of your party.
If you have purchased multiple single tickets please remember you must bring all tickets with you on the day, each ticket will only scan once.
16) Is there wheelchair access to the marquee
Yes, Stratford have advised that there is level access to the marquee
17) Where can I park?
Please park in the main racecourse carpark, enter through the main gates and down the lawns with the stands on your left. The marquee is at the far end of the lawns (past the Pavilion that has been used in recent years
18) Anything else I should know?
Flooring in the marquee will be carpet on grass, you may wish to bear this in mind when choosing footwear for the day
