In 2017 the PPORA Chairman’s Award became the latest addition to the PPORA’s Grassroots Awards.   Introducing the award, at Stratford  in June, chairman Robert Killen explained he had created the award as an opportunity to recognise someone who has done something special or inspirational for Point to Pointing over the previous 12 months.  Guy Disney became the massively popular inaugural winner.

In 2018 Equestrian International became sponsor of the award, and  owner John Thorley joined us to spring a surprise on our winner Luke Harvey, presenting him with a sensational oil painting commissioned from leading equestrian artist Vineta Sayer.

Explaining his reasons for choosing Luke, Robert said  “Luke is a thoroughly good bloke who supports the PPORA, can always be relied upon to help out and never misses a chance to promote Point to Pointing to a wider audience” – Luke for once was lost for words!
