Tabitha Joins PPA Board

The PTPB has appointed Tabitha Cave (left) as an independent member for a three year term from 1 January 2009.
Tabitha has participated in the sport for more than 20 years and rode over 120 winners in point-to-points and hunter ‘chases. Having retired from race riding in 2007, Tabitha still rides and hunts with the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale.
Based in the West Country, Tabitha heads the Health and Safety and Regulatory team for Bristol solicitors, Veale Wasbrough.
Tabitha brings an enthusiasm for the sport and a primary aim to encourage greater involvement in the sport by participants and spectators alike.

FREDDY ARTHUR joined the BHA on October 1st as Point-to-Point Executive. Freddy has a broad range of experience in the racing industry having worked for various trainers and studs around the world as well as spells at Darley.
Experienced in riding in point-to-points, he was leading gentleman novice rider in the Northern Area in 2002.

MARK SIGGERS has been appointed National PRO by the PPA. A freelance journalist and photographer, Mark is a former owner who has edited the South East area supporters’ club newsletter for ten years. He will carry on as PRO for the South East, where he also runs the website www.pointingse.com.
